The event will take place virtually on March 14th at 7:00 where you can meet Dr. Deborah Kerr and Dr. Jill Underly will be vying for the position of State Superintendent of Public Instruction. They will be arguing their case for leadership policies for Wisconsin’s public schools, including monitoring school performance, and disbursing federal aid.

Moderator for the event is Pablo Muirhead, who is on the Shorewood School Board and is Chair of Teacher Education at Milwaukee Area Technical College. After an introduction and an explanation of the position by Ingrid Walker-Henry, Vice-President of the Milwaukee Teacher’s Education Association, viewers will have the opportunity to hear from and question the candidates.

Dr. Kerr is the former Brown Deer School District superintendent and Dr. Underly is the current superintendent of the rural Pecatonica School District, after having worked at the Department of Public Instruction for 5 years.

To RSVP and receive an access link for the event, go to the events page at www.grassrootsnorthshore.com.
