The Gathering is a local community meal program that provides close to 60,000 free meals a year to the hungry and homeless populations. June 15 through October 15 the nonprofit is hosting a one-of-a-kind, golf-on-your-own Golf Classic to raise money to support feeding the hungry.
“We’re excited to continue our golf outing tradition,” says Lyn Hildenbrand, Executive Director of The Gathering. “Although it looks a little bit different this year, our goal is to raise $18,000 to support our programming. We came up with this idea when COVID hit, to move the event to our digital platform.”
Beginning June 15, through October 15, the public can learn more and register online to golf-on-their-own at Brown Deer Golf Course, where Tiger Woods turned pro. Included with registration are 18 holes, golf cart, lunch or dinner, drink tickets and tournament entry. Registrations are purchased through The Gathering online and then golfers are directed to schedule their tee time with Brown Deer Golf Course.
Additionally, The Gathering is hosting a virtual silent auction, open to registrants and the public. Visit www.thegatheringwis.org/events to access the silent auction, sponsorship information, golfer registration instructions and digital event program.
