The City of Milwaukee Office of Workforce Development will be holding north side and south side Drive-Thru Job Fairs on Thursday (July 15th) for Milwaukee job seekers looking for immediate employment opportunities.

The job fair events are enthusiastically supported by Common Council members Chantia Lewis (9th District), José G. Pérez (12thDistrict), Russell W. Stamper, II (15th District) as a creative way to bring immediate job opportunities to residents (where they live) and in a manner that is safe during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic recovery.

The job fairs will focus on neighborhoods within the 9th, 12th, and 15th Aldermanic Districts, all of which have been t hit hard by COVID-19.All attendees will receive a no-contact bag packed with information on employment assistance programs and employers hiring right now, and the events will feature employers from manufacturing, office, healthcare, retail, transportation/logistics and much more.

The Drive Thru Job Fair events on July 15th are co-sponsored by Milwaukee Common Council, Direct Connect Milwaukee, Northwest Side CDC, State Department of Workforce Development, Job Center of Wisconsin, Employ Milwaukee, The Milwaukee Urban League, Milwaukee Public Schools, and the City of Milwaukee

Ferias de Trabajo como Drive-Thru brindan oportunidades a la comunidad

Eventos en el lado norte y el lado sur se llevarán a cabo este jueves (15 de julio del 2021) de mediodía a 4 p.m.

El Departamento de Desarrollo de la Fuerza Laboral de la Ciudad de Milwaukee realizará Ferias de Trabajo como Drive-Thru en el lado norte y lado sur el jueves (15 de julio) para las personas en Milwaukee que buscan trabajo y oportunidades inmediatas de empleo.

Se presentan las ferias de trabajo por miembros del Consejo Común Chantia Lewis (9o Distrito), José G. Pérez (12o Distrito), Russell W. Stamper, II (15o Distrito) como una forma creativa de brindar oportunidades inmediatas de trabajos a los residentes (donde viven) y de manera segura durante la recuperación de la pandemia del coronavirus (COVID-19).

Las ferias de trabajo se enfocarán en vecindarios dentro de los distritos 9, 12 y 15, en donde les ha afectado más fuerte el COVID-19.  Todas las personas que asisten la feria de trabajo recibirán una bolsa sin tener contacto llena de información sobre programas de ayuda para encontrar trabajo y empresas que están contratando ahora, especialmente en industrias como fábricas, oficinas, cuidado médico, tiendas y establecimientos, transporte/logística y muchas más.

Las Ferias de Trabajo como Drive Thru del 15 de julio se patrocinan por El Consejo Común de Milwaukee, Direct Connect Milwaukee, Northwest Side CDC, Departamento Estatal de Desarrollo de la Fuerza Laboral, Job Center of Wisconsin/Centro de Trabajos de Wisconsin, Employ Milwaukee, Milwaukee Urban League/La Liga Urbana de Milwaukee, Milwaukee Public Schools/Las escuelas Públicas de Milwaukee y la Ciudad de Milwaukee.
