The United Nations Association of Greater Milwaukee invites you to…

“The Genocide that Rages On: Crisis in Cameroon”

A live Zoom session with discussion on a topic you won’t get anywhere else!

The Milwaukee UNA chapter has members from Cameroon and is working on this issue.

Free & Open to the Public – Advance Registration Required

Saturday – September 11th, 2021, from 10 AM – 11:30 AM

With a presentation by

Valentine Mbinglo – Member of the Southern Cameroons National Council

The previously peaceful political movement to restore the statehood of Southern Cameroons (currently called Ambazonia) has been met by the Cameroon government military with an apparent genocide including indiscriminate killings, arbitrary arrests, torture, burning down of villages, hundreds of thousands of displaced people, and a growing population of refugees fleeing into Nigeria.

This humanitarian crisis has its roots in a merger of two colonies with different institutions, languages, and cultures that was organized by the United Nations. The speaker will appeal for help to stop the carnage.

Following his presentation, Valentine Mbinglo will respond to questions and comments.

Valentine Mbinglo is an American resident living in Chicago who was born in Bamenda, a Northwest Region of Cameroon. He is a member of the Southern Cameroons National Council and has been active in Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia) politics for the past 30 years.

He is a registered nurse and entrepreneur by profession and leader in various community and religious organizations.
