According to the Washington Post (2021), 2020 was the deadliest Gun Violence in decades, so far 2021 is worse. Through the first five months of 2021, gun violence killed more than 81,000 people in the United States, about 54 lives lost per day.
Brenda Hines, Founder of the Donovan Hines Foundation of Exeburance Co, knows all too well about how gun violence affects the lives of families because she lost her 23-year old son Donovan Hines to gun violence on November 13, 2017. Therefore, she is combatting gun violence with a race to reduce gun violence. All proceeds will go toward helping families affected by gun violence and domestic violence crisis incidents.
Will you please join us for a virtual race to reduce gun violence and to bring awareness to Mental Health and Substance Abuse within our communities and neighborhoods?
