An ode to the city’s 414 area code, Milwaukee Day started in 2009 as a grassroots effort by a group of Milwaukeeans. It has grown over the years and April 14 was officially proclaimed “Milwaukee Day” by Mayor Barrett in 2012, followed by Governor Evers in 2019. Annually on April 14, local businesses, organizations, restaurants and residents join together to celebrate Milwaukee’s spirit and uniqueness.
“We love being a part of the Milwaukee and 414 community,” said Kristy Baron, director of sales at UScellular. “We are excited to celebrate Milwaukee Day and cheer on the Brewers in their home opener, and invite our community members to come out to a participating store on April 14 to collect their free ticket while supplies last.”
