On Wednesday May 18, Four the First Time, a small group show will open at the Urban Ecology Center, 5 pm – 7 pm. Location: 1500 E. Park Place, Milwaukee, WI 53211. The exhibit will be on display until July 31.

For the first time, Jonathan Ellis, Beverly Richey, Miriam Sushman and Adria Willenson (“Four Sights”) will be showing their individual works together. Spearheaded by Miriam Sushman, this new group is joining forces to create a community supporting each other as we grow as artists.

Studio art can be an isolating experience and while a certain amount of solitary, focused, and concentrated time is required, artists need to connect and work with others.  We have found this to have been an enriching experience and plan to continue working together towards another exhibition in the Spring of 2023.

Four The First Time has come together in just under two months. New and past work will be shown. The artists have their own distinct style and will be showing both abstract and figurative paintings, mosaics, and mixed media pieces. The unifying theme is nature.

Guest artist, poet and spoken word performer Suzanne Rosenblatt will be performing one of her original works related to nature, humanity and the importance of working together.

You are invited to find your own meaning and relationships in the art and with the artists as we move forward in our art together.
