1. Pancakes with Santa: Saturday, Dec. 9

The Sherman Park Community Association will serve free pancakes to children, along with photo opportunities with Santa, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9 at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 2862 N. 53rd St. More information here.

2. Winter Wreath Workshop: Saturday, Dec. 9

Join the Friends of Havenwoods State Forest from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 6141 N. Hopkins St., to decorate your own wreath. Natural materials will be provided. To register, call 414-527-0232 or arrive earlier as space is limited. More information here.

3. Menomonee Valley Public Animal Feeding: Saturday, Dec. 9

The Urban Ecology Center Menomonee Valley Branch is hosting a free public animal feeding with turtles, snakes, and other Native Wisconsin Animal Ambassadors from noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 3700 W. Pierce St. All are welcome to attend. More information here.

4. Jolly Jamboree: Saturday, Dec. 9

The Embassy Center MKE invites families to attend its third annual Jolly Jamboree from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 3725 N. Sherman Blvd. The event will feature holiday crafts, games, snacks and more. Click here for volunteer opportunities.  More information here.

5. Sole Healing Arts Open Mic:  Saturday, Dec. 9

Join host Sole Q.U.E.E.N. at the Sole Healing Arts open mic from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9  as they celebrate the 50th anniversary of hip-hop at The Q, a barbecue restaurant at 2730 N.
