It’s Monday in Milwaukee, and here are some things we think you should know about. If you would like your event to be considered for this column, please submit your news by clicking here at least two weeks in advance.

1. Planting Day in Children’s Garden: Monday, May 27

Children of all ages are welcome to plant seeds and seedlings in Alice’s Garden Urban Farm from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, May 27 at 2136 N. 21st St. Supplies will be provided. Children should bring a water bottle and dress for the weather. More information here.

2. Tuesday Night Runs: Tuesday, May 28

Fear MKE is a running crew that focuses on diversity, safety and fitness. Every Tuesday at 6 p.m, runners of all skill levels can join Fear MKE at Mobay Cafe, 1022 S. First St. The next running meetup is Tuesday, May 28. All participants must complete a waiver. 3. Amani Outreach Day: Tuesday, May 28 

Amani Outreach Day is a pop-up community resource fair for Amani residents that takes place every second and fourth Tuesday of the month from May to August. The next pop-up is from noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28 between North 22nd Street and West Fond du Lac Avenue. If you run an organization or business that serves the Amani neighborhood, feel free to bring your own equipment to be a part of the resource fair. More information here

4. Walker’s Point Community Gathering: Tuesday, May 28

Walker’s Point Association will hold its monthly neighborhood meeting from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28 at Rite-Hite, 195 S. Rite-Hite Way. There will be neighborhood updates, scholarship giveaways, a tour of the new Rite-Hite headquarters and more. Refreshments will be provided. More information here.

5. Grab & Go: Wednesday, May 29

Owen’s Place will be giving away free supplies, clothing and more from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29 at 4610 W. Fond du Lac Ave. You are encouraged to bring a bag for your items. More information here.
