1. Vogel Park Ribbon Cutting: Tuesday, July 30

Celebrate the grand opening of a new playground at Vogel Park, 8601 W. Lancaster Ave., from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, July 30. County Executive David Crowley and other officials will be present for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.  More information here.

2. Dominican Center Mobile Food Pantry: Tuesday, July 30 

Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin’s mobile food pantry will be serving residents in the 53206 area from noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30 at 2470 W. Locust St. Visitors will receive a box filled with meat and produce in a drive-thru style distribution. More information here. 

3. Tech-splanation: Wednesday, July 31 

If you’re an older adult who struggles with using technology, you can bring your device to the Milwaukee Public Library Zablocki Branch, 3501 W. Oklahoma Ave., to receive assistance. A librarian will explain how to use it and answer your questions from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, July 31. More information here.

4. The Tasty Roll: Thursday, Aug. 1 

Join Red Bike & Green-Milwaukee for a weekly bike ride through Lindsay Heights. Meetup time is 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1 at The Taste of Lindsay Heights, 1617 W. North Ave. The ride is open to all ages and there will be refreshments for purchase. More information here. 

5. 2024 Community Health Fair: Thursday, Aug. 1

Gerald L. Ignace Indian Health Center Inc. will host a community health fair from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1 at 930 W. Historic Mitchell St. There will be free health screenings, raffles and community organizations to connect with. More information here.
