On Saturday, Sept. 28, the African American Roundtable hosted a voters’ game night at the Lois & Tom Dolan Community Center, 4355 W. Bradley Road, for Black Milwaukee residents.

The event included discussions on voting, voter registration and the city’s proposed 2025 budget. It was an intergenerational space, where participants discussed issues important to them as well as the importance of voting in the upcoming election.

There was also a children’s section with games that included Jenga, Uno, Spades, among others. 

“Game night is something I do in my family,” said Devin Anderson, AART’s campaign and membership director. “And we really wanted to make sort of these issues and things we care about more approachable by having it in the form of a game.”
