1. Career Launchpad: Monday, Dec. 2
Teens and adults are welcome to receive help on their career journey from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 2 at the Milwaukee Public Library Villard Square Branch, 5190 N. 35th St. You can work on your résumé, interviewing skills and more. More information here.
2. Makin’ Moves Breakdancing: Tuesday, Dec. 3
Your Move MKE Inc. will lead a workshop called “Makin’ Moves Breakdancing” from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 1107 W. Historic Mitchell St. During this workshop, youths will learn how breakdancing can benefit them. More information here.
3. Karaoke Wednesdays: Wednesday, Dec. 4
Every Wednesday, you can come to Pepperpot On MLK for a karaoke night and R&B and reggae after-work party. The next one is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 2215 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. There will be vendors, menu specials and free entry. More information here.
4. Women’s Gathering: Wednesday, Dec. 4
Circles of Strength is a program that provides services for individuals who are experiencing or have experienced domestic violence or sexual assault. The program will host a women’s gathering from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at the Gerald L. Ignace Indian Health Center, 930 W. Historic Mitchell St. Women, ages 18 and up, can craft healing hoops made of sacred medicines, ribbon and greenery. To register, call 414-383-9526 or feel free to walk in. More information here.
5. Cultural Holiday Market: through Friday, Dec. 6
Sherman Phoenix Marketplace and Kujichagulia Producers Cooperative are partnering to host a weeklong cultural market that features numerous vendors. Come out and support local entrepreneurs. The cultural market will take place from from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., starting Tuesday, Dec. 3 and will run through Friday, Dec. 6 at 3536 W. Fond du Lac Ave. More information here.

Black Arts MKE invites you to its ninth annual holiday musical production, “Black Nativity” by Langston Hughes, which tells the story of the Nativity through a combination of scripture, poetry, dance and song from the African American perspective. The show runs from Thursday Dec. 5 through Sunday, Dec. 8. at the Marcus Center’s Wilson Theater at Vogel Hall, 121 E. State St. Audience talkbacks will take place after each performance.
