It’s Friday in Milwaukee, and here are some things we think you should know about. If you would like your event to be considered for this column, please submit your news by clicking here at least two weeks in advance.

1. Feed Your Brother: Friday, Dec. 27

Ministreets-Christian Urban Outreach Mission provides food and other necessities to homeless communities on Milwaukee’s South Side. Their next meet-up is at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 27 at 2677 S. 16th St. Volunteers are welcome. More information here.

2. Noche de Karaoke: Friday, Dec. 27

A karaoke night at the Farmhouse Paint Bar & Banque­t Hall will be from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 27 at 4511 S. Sixth St. More information here.

3. Résumé Re-Charge: Friday, Dec. 27

Adults are invited to create a résumé from 11 a.m. to      noon on Friday, Dec. 27 at the Milwaukee Public Library Washington Park Branch, 2121 N. Sherman Blvd. You will get to write a cover letter and learn interviewing tips. Make sure you come with a list of all your previous jobs. More information here.

4. Trans Community Meeting: Saturday, Dec. 28

Sun-Seeker MKE will be hosting a transgender community meeting from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28 at 825 N. 27th St. This is your chance to hear updates and to eat a meal together. More information here.

5. Ujamaa Marketplace: Sunday, Dec. 29

Local vendors will gather for a day filled with shopping, giveaways, tours and more. This community event will be from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 29 at America’s Black Holocaust Museum, 401 W. North Ave. More information here.
