I chose this story because it shows how one person can make a big difference in the lives of kids and their families.

Darnell Hamilton started as a teacher and is now the executive director of Future Urban Leaders. This change shows how much he wants to help Milwaukee’s kids.

By working in a new role, he’s able to connect with students and help them believe in themselves.

What’s even more special is how Hamilton builds strong relationships outside of the classroom. Kids say his advice stays with them and helps them grow as people. He also works with families and the community to help kids thrive academically. This teamwork shows that helping kids succeed takes everyone working together.

Sharing Hamilton’s story reminded me of how important it is to support others. His story of courage, caring, and community inspires us all to help kids and make a difference.
