While covering issues and solutions are obviously important, I think it’s equally as important to highlight the good going on in Milwaukee.  

This story did a great job of meeting NNS’s mission of highlighting ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

Through this story, we got to not only highlight some voices of folks often not heard, but to share in the joy of the seniors at McGovern Park Senior Center. And I believe joy is just as important to the fabric of journalism as everything else.
