It’s Friday in Milwaukee, and here are some things we think you should know about. If you would like your event to be considered for this column, please submit your news by clicking here at least two weeks in advance.

1. Fun Fridays: Friday, Jan. 24

Children and teens are invited to hang out and engage in activities from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24 at the Milwaukee Public Library Zablocki Branch, 3501 W. Oklahoma Ave. More information here.

2. DNR Career Fair: Saturday, Jan. 25

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is looking for full-time and part-time staff. A career fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 6141 N. Hopkins St. More information here.

3. Unity Expo 5: Saturday, Jan. 25

Pipeline to Promises and Unity MKE are collaborating to lead an intergenerational conversation called “Respect for Our Elders.” Community leaders such as Farina Brooks and Tony Courtney will lead the dialogue as this is a moment to honor and learn from elders. It will be from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 225 W. Capitol Drive. More information here.

4. Annual Assembly: Saturday, Jan. 25

Voces de la Frontera will have its annual assembly from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25 at South Division High School, 1515 W. Lapham Blvd. This is the largest statewide membership meeting that gives you the chance to learn more about the organization and becoming involved. The assembly is open to the public. 5. Car Cellphone holder Giveaway: Saturday, Jan. 25

In partnership with the Brewers Community Foundation and the Harley-Davidson Foundation, Supervisor Sky Z. Capriolo will host a car cellphone holder giveaway on from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25. Residents seeking a free cellphone  holder can drive through the Harley-Davidson Headquarters campus via 35th or 38th Streets, where volunteers will distribute the 800 holders on a first-come, first-served basis.
