1. Metcalfe Park Freedom Shop: Friday, Feb. 14
Once a month, Metcalfe Park residents can stop by the freedom shop to receive free items like clothes, diapers, wipes and more. 2. Stuff Swap: Saturday, Feb. 15
KK River Neighbors in Action and other organizations invite you to bring gently used clothes, electronics, supplies and more that you’d be able to swap out for something new. Swapping will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 2677 S. 16th St. Registration is required. More information here.
3. Love Ultra Gay-lentines: Saturday, Feb. 15
Revel Bar and Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin are collaborating to host a “Gay-lentines” from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 2246 S. Kinnickinnic Ave. The night will be filled with music and connecting with each other. In addition, Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin encourages you to stop by its table to write a letter to health care workers and to pass on resources for the LGBTQ+ communities. More information here.
4. Black History Month Dance Sessions: Saturday, Feb. 15
Choreographer Taylor Kristina will be leading free decade themed dance sessions in honor of Black History Month from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 3413 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. 5. Winter Break Milwaukee: Saturday, Feb. 15
Families are welcome to spend some winter fun from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15 at Havenwoods State Forest, 6141 N. Hopkins St. There will be activities, food and more. More information here.
