1. Suicide Prevention Training: Tuesday, March 4
KK River Neighbors in Action is hosting free suicide prevention training from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4 at 2677 S. 16th St. The session is open to individuals who are 18 and up. You will learn about the warning signs of a mental health crisis, practical methods and more. More information here.
2. Natural Dyeing Art Class: Wednesday, March 5
Sixteenth Street Community Wellness is hosting an art class from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5 at 1032 S. Cesar E. Chavez Drive. Participants will create eco-friendly fabrics. Registration is required. More information here.
3. Amani Housing Meeting: Wednesday, March 5
Amani’s monthly housing meeting will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5 at 2470 W. Locust Ave. Residents will be able to receive housing information and resources. More information here.
4. Resident Leadership Training: Thursday, March 6
A resident leadership training hosted by Muskego Way Forward will be held from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 6 at 807 S. 14th St. During this session, Alea McHatten will talk about collective power and how residents can build decision-making skills. Registration is required.
5. Safe and Smart On Campus: Thursday, March 6
High school and college students can join a weekly session about becoming familiar with your campus resources, safety and more. The first session will kick off from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 6 at Owen’s Place, 4610 W. Fond du Lac Ave. More information here.
