It’s Friday in Milwaukee, and here are some things we think you should know about. If you would like your event to be considered for this column, please submit your news by clicking here at least two weeks in advance.

1. Milwaukee Riverkeeper Spring Cleanup: Saturday, April 26

Milwaukee Riverkeeper will hold its 30th annual spring cleanup from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 26 at Pulaski Park Pavillion, 2677 S. 16th St. You will have the chance to clean, meet volunteers and learn about neighborhood projects. 2. Out of the Closet Clothing Swap: Saturday, April 26

Adults are welcome to donate a clean bag of clothing and search for other clothes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 26 at the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center, 315 W. Court St. You will be entered into a raffle for bringing clothes, and free harm-reduction items will be available. More information here.

3. Lindsay Heights Community Cleanup: Saturday, April 26

Residents are invited to gather together and clean up the Lindsay Heights neighborhood from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 26 at 1430 W. North Ave. Afterward, there will be a community BBQ and an anti-litter campaign showcase from local students. Supplies will be provided. More information here.

4. Mothers of Milwaukee Symposium: Saturday, April 26

The second annual Mothers of Milwaukee Symposium is a free event that will have workshops and resources for mothers to connect and learn about women’s health. There also will be special guests present to speak. The symposium will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 26 at Abundant Faith Church of Integrity, 7830 W. Good Hope Road. Children are welcome to attend and there will be child care provided, but at a limited capacity. Food will be served. Click here to register. More information here.

5. Día del Niño: Saturday, April 26

Join Milwaukee Recreation in celebrating Día del Niño from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 26 at the South Division High School Twilight Center, 1515 W. Lapham Blvd. Children will participate in games, art activities and science experiments. Children who are ages 10 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. More information here.
