1. Aurora Mobile Health Clinic: Tuesday, May 27
Aurora Health Care will be at the Milwaukee Central Library to provide adults and children free health care services, including health screenings, medication review and more. The health clinic will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27 on the second floor of the library, 814 W. Wisconsin Ave. More information here.
2. District 4 Crime and Safety Meeting: Tuesday, May 27
Milwaukee Police Department District 4 will hold its crime and safety meeting beginning at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27 at 6680 N. Teutonia Ave. You can listen to crime updates for the neighborhood and ask officers questions. More information here.
3. Karaoke Wednesdays: Wednesday, May 28
Every Wednesday, you can come to Pepperpot On MLK for a karaoke night and R&B and reggae after-work party. The next one is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28 at 2215 N. Martin Luther King Drive. There will be vendors, menu specials and free entry. More information here.
4. Healthy County Challenge: Wednesday, May 28
As part of the Healthy County Challenge, you can join County Executive David Crowley in a yoga class from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28 at the Mitchell Park Domes Horticultural Conservancy, 524 S. Layton Blvd. Yoga instructor Joanna Brooks from Embody Yoga will lead the class followed by Camille Mays leading a sound bath and mindfulness exercise. More information here.
5. May Women’s Gathering: Wednesday, May 28
The Gerald L. Ignace Indian Health Center is hosting its May Women’s Gathering from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 28 at 930 W. Historic Mitchell St. In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, this month’s gathering will focus on learning about trauma — how it impacts our minds, bodies and spirits, and how healing can happen through connection, culture and community.
