1. Salsa Workshop: Friday, May 30

Jason Suav will be leading a beginners salsa workshop from 5:30 p.m. to 6:40 p.m. on Friday, May 30 at Mitchell Street Arts, 710 W. Historic Mitchell St. Suav will teach hand positions, posture, footwork and other techniques. This is a pay-what-you-can workshop and a $20 donation is suggested. More information here. 2. Unity Expo 9 – Film Edition: Saturday, May 31

Pipeline to Promise and the Running Rebels Community Organization are collaborating to lead an intergenerational conversation featuring independent film producer Cary Grant. The conversation will be from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 31 at 225 W. Capitol Drive. There will be vendors, resources and food. More information here. 

3. ”Twelfth Night” Community Performance: Saturday, May 31

Community members are welcome to attend a performance of “Twelfth Night” by William Shakespeare. This performance is presented by Black Arts MKE Inc. and will explore identity, self-expression and more. The performance will begin at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 31 at 5305 W. Capitol Drive. 4. Rooted & Rising: Washington Park Bloom & Groom: Saturday, May 31

Rooted & Rising invites Washington Park residents to its annual “Bloom & Groom” from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 31 at 4301 W. Lisbon Ave. You can purchase discounted flowers, create your own hanging flower basket and learn to create a rain garden. More information here. 

5. 414Flea: Sunday, June 1 

You can purchase vintage items at vendor tables at the 414Flea from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 1 at Zócalo Food Park, 636 S. Sixth St. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. More information here.
