The new Marcia P. Coggs Health & Human Services Center is officially open.
“This facility reflects our commitment to advancing equity, accessibility, and upstream investment in community well-being,” Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley said in a news release.
The new building, at 1230 W. Cherry St., has the same name and mission as the center has always had.
The building is designed specifically to deliver health and human services and will run in accordance with the Milwaukee County Department of Health & Human Services’ plan to reshape its delivery of services, according to a policy called No Wrong Door.
No Wrong Door makes it easy for county residents to access, or be connected with, whatever service they need wherever they come in contact with the county’s human services system.
What services does the center provide
The new facility is home to the county’s Department of Health & Human Services.
