It’s Monday in Milwaukee, and here are some things we think you should know about. If you would like your event to be considered for this column, please submit your news by clicking here at least two weeks in advance.

1. Flow Jam:  Monday, June 30

If you are a flow performer that practices poi, hula hooping and other flow arts, Mitchell Street Arts will host a flow jam from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, June 30 at 710 W. Historic Mitchell St. This is meant for flow performers to explore their creative expression and share skills. There will be a $5 cover at the door. More information here.

2. Bicycle Giveaway: Monday, June 30 

The Milwaukee Police Department District 5 will be giving away free bikes from noon to 3 p.m. on Monday, June 30 at Rose Park, 3045 N. Martin Luther King Drive.  More information here. 

3. Healing Heavy Hearts: Monday, June 30 

If you are a Hmong or southeast Asian girl between the ages of 13 and 17, the Hmong American Women’s Association invites you to its youth program, Healing Heavy Hearts. It will be a safe space for you to express joy and build a sisterhood with others. The free session will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, June 30 at 3030 W. 4. Yoga in Alice’s Garden: Tuesday, July 1 

Alice’s Garden Urban Farm will be offering a yoga class from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1 at 2136 N. 21st St. Attendees are required to bring a mat, water bottle and to dress appropriately for the weather. More information here.  

5. Garden Cleanup: Wednesday, July 2

The Muslim Community & Health Center welcomes individuals to a garden cleanup at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2 at 803 W. Layton Ave. You will clean the area surrounding the clinic and the Sakina Garden. More information here.
