1. Cowork with Creators:  Friday, Aug. 1

Hashtag MKE invites creators and social media enthusiasts to a networking event that will give you the opportunity to meet like-minded individuals in Milwaukee. The free event is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1 at Kuumba Juice & Coffee, 274 E. Keefe Ave. Registration is required. More information here.

2. Ascension Community Picnic: Saturday, Aug. 2

Ascension Lutheran Church, 1236 S. Layton Blvd., invites the public to a community picnic at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2 at Greenfield Park, 2028 S. 124th St., Area 3B. The picnic will feature games and activities for all ages. Bring a chair and a dish to share with others. More information here.

3. Martin Drive Neighborhood Rummage Sale: Saturday, Aug. 2

The Martin Drive Neighborhood Association is holding its 22nd annual rummage sale from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2. Shoppers can walk through the neighborhood and purchase items from neighbors. Click here to view the rummage sale Google Map. More information here.

4. Milwaukee ICE Verifier Training Series: Saturday, Aug. 2

Voces de la Frontera will host a training on how verifiers respond to ICE alerts in the community. As verifiers, you will learn to confirm or deny any ICE activity in the community. The training is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2 at 733 W. Mitchell St. Registration is required. More information here.

5. Community Baby Items Giveaway: Saturday, Aug. 2

Yolanda Hamilton will be giving away free baby items to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2 at 7910 N. 76th St. More information here.
