Children’s laughter and the smell of popcorn filled the air on Oct. 1 at Rescued Roasters, 4435 W. Forest Home Ave., during a Bilingual STORY TIME MKE event. Betty Suárez, founder and owner of Bilingual STORY TIME MKE, says she wants to expose children, whether they speak English or Spanish, to literature. She’s especially focusing on bilingual children, which is why she chose to read a children’s book in both languages.
