It’s Monday in Milwaukee, and here are some things we think you should know about. If you would like your event to be considered for this column, please submit your news by clicking here at least two weeks in advance.

1. Real Men Real Talk: Monday, Oct. 20

Men and boys are encouraged to come to a monthly discussion held at Gee’s Clippers Barber and Beauty Salon for a conversation on issues that men face in society. The next session, presented by Milwaukee Fatherhood Initiative, is from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 20 at 2200 N. Martin Luther King Drive. There will be food, raffles and resources. 2. Style Lab: Find Your Fit: Monday, Oct. 20

Teens are welcome to customize a bag with patches, beads, sewing and other techniques from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 20 at the Milwaukee Public Library Mitchell Street Branch, 906 W. Historic Mitchell St. More information here.

3. Vision Board Nourishing Life Series: Tuesday, Oct. 21

Venice Williams invites residents to attend an autumn vision board workshop from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at The Table, 5305 W. Capitol Drive. The session is $10 per person and all materials are provided. More information here.

4. Immense Wellness: Wednesday, Oct. 22

Social X MKE will host a session for men called “Immense Wellness: Let’s Get Through It.” Men will emotionally, physically, mentally and financially strengthen themselves while making connections with professionals and entrepreneurs. The discussion will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at Rise & Grind Cafe, 2737 N. Martin Luther King Drive. Refreshments will be served. More information here.

5. Tribal Elder Food Box: Thursday, Oct. 23

Tribal elders age 55 and up are eligible to receive a traditional food box from the Hunger Task Force. The food boxes will include food from Wisconsin farmers and indigenous producers. The distribution begins at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23 at Gerald L. Ignace Indian Health Center, 930 W. Historic Mitchell St., and Indian Council of the Elderly, 944 N. 33rd St. Upon arrival, you must have a state ID. Tribal IDs are not required, but you will be asked for your tribal affiliation.
