MILWAUKEE, October 22, 2025 — A DJ spinning music, the smell of food in the air, and a room alive with conversation — it may sound like a community social, but this gathering is also about career opportunity. Quad, together with Culture x Design, will host Empower + Connect: Career & Community Networking Night at the Quad MKE training and recruitment hub from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2025.
The free event is designed to reimagine the traditional job fair by creating a welcoming, social space where attendees can connect with potential employers, gain practical skills in personal branding and career coaching, and access job-searching resources. Complete with music from DJ Doc B, complimentary appetizers, networking lounges, and free professional headshots, the lively atmosphere transforms the event into a place of connection.
“Most job fairs can feel like playing the lottery. You walk up to a table, give someone your resume, and cross your fingers,” said Brandon Ramey, Quad MKE Site Director. “With Empower + Connect, we’re working with partners to create a holistic experience where participants not only walk away with leads, but also tangible skills and tools they can use during their search and throughout their careers.”
Attendees will have the opportunity to connect directly with a diverse mix of local employers spanning corporate, nonprofit, and education sectors through on-site networking and hiring opportunities. BMO Harris, Goodwill Industries, Employ Milwaukee, and i.c.stars are among the corporate and nonprofit partners leading breakout sessions that will offer a variety of real-world career tools and strategies, including:
- Crash Course: LinkedIn, AI & Personal Branding Tools with Rosio Suchil — Digital marketing consultant Rosio Suchil of Elevate Digital Media will equip job seekers with strategies for using LinkedIn and AI-powered branding tools to elevate their digital presence and stand out online.
- Interviewing for Career Conversations with Kyle Ashley — Communications specialist Kyle Ashley shares practical approaches for attendees to build confidence in their abilities and judgment when navigating job interviews.
- Breaking Barriers in Banking with BMO — Understand credit scores, reports, and strategies for long-term financial success.
- From Chaos to Clarity: Streamlining Your Job Search with Goodwill Industries + Employ Milwaukee — Navigate job search platforms and tools to make your search more efficient and effective.
“This is more than finding a job — it’s about belonging,” said Geraud Blanks, Managing Director for Culture x Design. “People will leave with tools for their career, connections to employers, and the sense that they are part of a larger network of support.”
Hosting Empower + Connect at the Quad Hub represents a partnership-driven effort to open doors, share resources, and build pathways that extend beyond the event itself. It also underscores Quad’s commitment to supporting the next generation of talent in the local community. Once known primarily as one of the nation’s largest printing companies, Quad has transformed into a marketing experience company that connects creative, production, and media solutions across any media channel. Quad’s open positions, which reflect the company’s evolution, offer opportunities in data processing and customer service (West Allis), corporate account management and trainee programs, creative marketing and design, and entry-level manufacturing and skilled facility positions.
