1. Pathways to Public Office: Tuesday, Nov. 4
The Epsilon Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority will host an informational meeting about how to kickstart your journey into public service. The meeting is from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at the Milwaukee Public Library Good Hope Branch, 7715 N. Good Hope Road. Registration is required. More information here.
2. Bilingual Storytime: Wednesday, Nov. 5
Rescued Roasters and Bilingual Storytime MKE are collaborating to host interactive bilingual stories read to children in English and Spanish from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 4435 W. 3. Coffee with Community Leaders: Wednesday, Nov. 5
Join Ald. JoCasta Zamarripa for coffee and baked goods from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5 at VIA Community Development Corp., 3524 W. National Ave. You will learn about her role and explore how to create a positive impact in neighborhoods by working together. More information here.
4. Empower and Connect Career Fair: Thursday, Nov. 6
Culture x Design is partnering with local organizations to host a career fair and professional networking social from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6 at 4201 N. 27th St. Attendees will meet local corporations that are hiring, engage in breakout sessions and network with others. 5. Safe Streets Meeting: Thursday, Nov. 6
The City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works is hosting a public meeting about a project aimed at improving 23 intersections along five corridors. The meeting will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6 at South Division High School, 1515 W. Lapham Blvd. More information here.
