1. Merrill Park Neighborhood Meeting: Tuesday, Nov. 11

Merrill Park Neighbors will hold its monthly neighborhood meeting from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 540 N. 31st St. Residents will hear updates and learn about ways to improve the neighborhood. More information here.

2. Movie screening: Tuesday, Nov. 11

Justice Forward Wisconsin will present a screening and panel discussion on the film, “The Alabama Solution,” from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at America’s Black Holocaust Museum, 401 W. North Ave. Refreshments will be provided. More information here.

3. November Neighbor Meeting: Wednesday, Nov. 12

VIA Community Development Corp. will hold a neighborhood meeting from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 3524 W. National Ave. The meeting will cover energy, rebates for home upgrades and high-efficiency electric appliances. RSVP is required. More information here.

4. Renters Rights Legal Clinic: Wednesday, Nov. 12

Staff attorneys from Legal Action of Wisconsin are offering a free clinic to help Clarke Square residents understand their rights as renters. The clinic will have free legal advice on evictions, termination notices and other legal issues from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at the Sixteenth Street Community Health Center, 1036 S. Cesar E. Chavez Drive. Walk-ins are welcome and it’s first come, first served. More information here.

5. Vinyl Vibes: Wednesday, Nov. 12

Bring your favorite vinyl records to play from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at Indeed Brewing Co., 530 S. Second St., and receive $2 off your first beer. More information here.
