1. Reimagining Youth Baseball: Saturday, Nov. 22

The Milwaukee Baseball Club invites families to a screening of a documentary on youth baseball in Milwaukee. The event will also include a panel discussion and brainstorming session featuring local coaches, former players and community leaders. Doors open at 11 a.m. and the event begins at noon on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 1623 S. 38th St. Registration is required. More information here.

2. Thanksgiving Meal Giveaway: Saturday, Nov. 22

The Greater Milwaukee Urban League is partnering with local organizations to host a Thanksgiving meal giveaway at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22 at Gee’s Clippers Barber and Beauty Salon, 2200 N. Martin Luther King Drive. Five hundred turkeys, hams and sides will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis. More information here.

3. Tree Planting in Lindsay Heights: Saturday, Nov. 22

The Milwaukee Urban Forestry Fund will join with the community to plant trees across the Lindsay Heights neighborhood beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22 between North 11th and West Chambers streets. 4. Cooking with Chef Yusuf Bin-Rella: Saturday, Nov. 22

Chef Yusuf Bin-Rella will be at the Milwaukee Winter Farmers Market to prepare two dishes from the cookbooks “Turtle Island” by Sean Sherman and “Recipes from the American South” by Michael Twitty. As he cooks, you can join him in a cultural conversation about food from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22 at The Table, 5305 W. Capitol Drive. More information here.

5. Monthly Meeting: Saturday, Nov. 22

Join the Historic Mitchell Street Neighborhood Association at its monthly meeting from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 22 at the Milwaukee Public Library Mitchell Street Branch, 906 Historic Mitchell St. This is your chance to speak with public officials and community leaders.
