1. Somali Youth Night: Saturday, Nov. 29
Somali Resources Center of Milwaukee invites youths to a night filled with interactive games, community feedback and learning about opportunities from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 1020 W. Mitchell St. Registration is required. More information here.
2. Phoenix Forward: Saturday, Nov. 29
Join Sherman Phoenix for its seventh fundraising celebration of entrepreneurs, partnerships and supporters from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 3536 W. Fond du Lac Ave. Attendees will enjoy music, auctions, giveaways and food. Click here to RSVP. More information here.
3. Kids Coat Giveaway: Saturday, Nov. 29
The Milwaukee Hope Initiative will be giving away free gently used and new coats to children at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 2020 W. Fond du Lac Ave. One coat will be given to each child and the child must be present to receive it. Other warm weather items will be available. Registration is required. More information here.
4. MASTERing LEGO: Saturday, Nov. 29
Children and adults are welcome to challenge their creativity with a LEGO master from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29 at the Milwaukee Public Library Martin Luther King Branch, 2901 N. Martin Luther King Drive. More information here.
5. Sundaes on Sunday: Sunday, Nov. 30
Milwaukee Police Department Districts 3, 5 and 7 partner with Sentry Foods and Cedar Crest Ice Cream each month to give away free sundaes to community members and hear feedback from them regarding important issues. The next gathering will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 30 at Sentry Foods, 7101 W. Lisbon Ave. More information here.
