1. Family Skate Night: Friday, Dec. 19

Friends of Center Street Park is hosting a free family ice skating night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19 at Center Street Park, 6420 W. Clarke St. Skates are free and first come, first served, and instructors will be present to help beginners skate. Afterward, you can enjoy free hot chocolate and a warm fire in the park’s pavilion. 2. Amani Holiday Grocery Giveaway: Friday, Dec. 19

Amani residents can stop by the Dominican Center, 2470 W. Locust St., between noon and 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19 to receive free holiday dinner supplies and resources. Each family gets their choice of turkey or ham and all the fixings. You must live in the 53206 ZIP code and be among the first 100 to receive a grocery bag. Bring an ID or piece of mail to show proof of address. More information here.

3. Ugly Sweater Party: Friday, Dec. 19

Wear your ugliest sweater at the Zòcalo Food Truck Park, 636 S. 6th St., for a chance to win Bucks tickets and enjoy drink specials. The party will be filled with music and holiday festivities from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19. The winner of the Bucks tickets will be announced at 9 p.m. More information here.

4. Holiday Gift Shop: Saturday, Dec. 20

We Got This Milwaukee invites children to a holiday gift shop where they can choose free gifts for their siblings or loved ones. The event will run from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20 between North 9th and West Ring streets. Only children/youths are allowed inside the event. More information here.

5. Winter Farmers Market: Saturday, Dec. 20

The Milwaukee Winter Farmers Market is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20 at The Table, 5305 W. Capitol Drive. This is your chance to support farmers, bakers, crafters and other businesses. SNAP benefits are accepted at the market, and may be doubled up to $30 at each market. More information here.
