1. Winter Sowing Workshop: Saturday, Jan. 24
Join the Harambee ECO Neighborhood Team for an afternoon of learning about native plants and how to grow them inexpensively. The workshop is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 3295 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Please bring a translucent or clean plastic gallon jug. Seeds and supplies will be provided. Registration is required. More information here.
2. Kozy Community Walks: Saturday, Jan. 24
Join MilWALKee Walks at the Kosciuszko Community Center, 2201 S. 7th St., for a walk through Kosciuszko Park from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24. You will learn about interesting destinations in the Lincoln Village area and chat about streets that make you feel safe or unsafe. More information here.
3. Families as Partners: Saturday, Jan. 24
Milwaukee Public Schools is partnering with other organizations to lead a multi-session educational workshop to support children with special needs for MPS families. The first workshop is from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 5225 W. Vliet St. Registration is required. More information here.
4. Winter Wonderland Fundraiser: Saturday, Jan. 24
Harmony Heals Inc. invites the community to enjoy live performances, entertainment, free haircuts and more in a kid-friendly and sensory-friendly setting from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24 at Flores Hall, 2997 S. 20th St. You are encouraged to dress to impress and all funds raised will go toward children with autism and special needs. 5. Milwaukee Winter Farmers Market: Saturday, Jan. 24
The Milwaukee Winter Farmers Market will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24 at The Table, 5305 W. Capitol Drive. Residents can access regional produce, meat, honey and other products. The vendors vary per week and are subject to change. More information here.
