1. Adult English Class: Monday, Jan. 26
Audubon Technology & Communication Center is offering free adult English classes from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays starting on Jan. 26 and running through May 20. Classes, which will be held at the school, located at 3300 S. 39th St., can help adults improve their English reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. More information here.
2. League of Women Voters Resource Table: Monday, Jan. 26
The League of Women Voters of Milwaukee County will be assisting residents with address changes, registration, verification, name changes and more from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 26 at the Milwaukee Public Library Zablocki Branch, 3501 W. Oklahoma Ave. More information here.
3. Youth Organizing Visioning Session: Tuesday, Jan. 27
Join the African American Roundtable for a virtual visioning session about youth organizing, its effects and how to build moving forward. The session is from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27. Click here to register. More information here.
4. January Gathering of Walker’s Point Association: Tuesday, Jan. 27
The Walker’s Point Association will host a community meeting to discuss proposed apartment complex developments on the South Side of Milwaukee by local developer New Land Enterprises. The meeting is from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27 at The Water Council in The Global Water Center Building, 247 W. Freshwater Way, #500. 5. Crime and Safety Meeting: Thursday, Jan. 29
Milwaukee Police Department District 3 will host its monthly crime and safety meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 29 at 2333 N. 49th St. You will hear updates on crime statistics, meet local community members and be able to ask questions to officers. More information here.
