1. Ask a Lawyer at Dominican Center: Friday, Jan. 30

From 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., the Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee offers legal help with matters relating to housing, estate planning and more at Dominican Center, 2470 W. Locust St. Walk-ins are welcome, but it’s recommended to sign up for an appointment. More information here.

2. 43rd + Vliet Series: Friday, Jan. 30

From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Denizen MKE and other local organizations are showcasing creative small businesses near Washington Park on the Near West Side. View art, get refreshments and celebrate the neighborhood at Denizen MKE, 4227 W. Vliet St. More information here.

3. Sip and Soothe: Saturday, Jan. 31

Adults can head to the Villard Square Milwaukee Public Library Branch at 5190 N. 35th St. to sip on coffee and relax with crossword puzzles, adult coloring and more from 10 a.m. to noon. More information here.

4. From the Classroom to the Closing Table: Saturday, Jan. 31

From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at 5229 W. Capitol Drive, join Nata Nash of Prolific Realty Group to learn how to turn “teaching skills into real estate deals.” This home buyer event is specifically for educators, teacher’s aides, paraprofessionals and child care professionals. Register here.

5. Walker’s Point Makers Market and Bar Hop: Sunday, Feb 1

Support local artists, makers and bakers or beer hop in Walkers Point. Vendors will be located at a variety of Walker’s Point locations from noon to 5 p.m. All ages are welcome, but alcohol will be present. More information on vendor locations here.
