The Factory on Barclay in Milwaukee’s Harbor District
On Friday, March 6, the Urban Economic Development Association of Wisconsin (UEDA) will celebrate the vibrant diversity of Milwaukee with a night full of food, music, and fun at its annual fundraiser, Carnival Milwaukee.
Now in its eighteenth year, Carnival Milwaukee guests will have the opportunity to travel the world through an array of familiar and exotic dishes from more than 20 local, diverse restaurants and caterers. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in cultural attire to showcase and share their heritage. They will also enjoy live music and performances by De La Buena, Salsabrosa MKE, and Samba Da Vida. The Carnival raffle and interactive photos by Pixel Booth are not to be missed!
At the event, UEDA will present The Hmong American Friendship Association with the Bill Johnson Bridge Builder Award in recognition of their efforts to honor diversity and connect people and places through the expression of culture in food, art, music, and space. We celebrate their commitment to ensuring Milwaukee has a thriving Southeast Asian community through culturally responsive services, community connection, economic opportunity, and advocacy.
Tickets are $80 and may be purchased online at www.CarnivalMilwaukee.com. The website includes additional information on the event and venue. Funds raised by the event will further UEDA’s work in community and economic development to support thriving, urban communities.
