1. Science Strikes Back: Friday, March 13
Community members are invited to share a science project with other residents at Escuela Verde’s Newline Community Cafe, 3618 W. Pierce St., from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 13. Sign up to present your project here. More information here.
2. Milwaukee Baseball Club’s First Birthday Party: Saturday March 14
Celebrate the first year of the Milwaukee Baseball Club with food, music, a photo booth and impact stories at the club, 1623 S. 38th St. The celebration happens from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 14. More information here.
3. Health Connections Inc. Health Fair and Charity Basketball Game: Saturday March 14
Get free health screenings, support colorectal and prostate cancer awareness, watch a free basketball game and listen to a live DJ at the Health Connections Inc. Inter-Generational Cancer Health Fair at the Milwaukee Lutheran High School Fieldhouse, 9700 W. Grantosa Drive. The fair takes place on Saturday, March 14 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Get free tickets here. 4. Be My Neighbor – Meet Daniel Tiger: Saturday March 14
Milwaukee PBS and the Milwaukee Public Library are hosting a free meet-and-greet with Daniel Tiger, where families can learn how to be a caring neighbor. Head to the Milwaukee Central Library, 814 W. Wisconsin Ave., on Saturday, March 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. More information here.
5. Resist and Build: Saturday, March 14
Join Active Bystander MKE and Tres Ojos for a mutual aid open mic, bystander intervention training, lino cut station, and healing sound bath at Kuumba Juice & Coffee, 274 E. Keefe Ave., from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 14. More information here.
