Milwaukee County, WI — Households still dealing with mold following the historic August 2025 flooding will have access to free mold cleaning supplies at several locations during community distribution events hosted by the Wisconsin Conference of the United Methodist Church Disaster Project and funded through a grant from UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief).
The drive-thru events will provide mold cleaning spray and instructions to help stop further mold growth in homes impacted by flood damage.
Distribution will take place at:
- Central United Methodist Church (639 N 25th St, Milwaukee) on March 18, 2026 noon – 6 p.m,
- United Methodist Church of Whitefish Bay (819 E. Silver Springs Dr. Whitefish Bay), March 19, 2026, noon – 6 p.m.
- Memorial United Methodist Church (3450 S 52nd St., Greenfield, WI), March 20, 2026, noon – 6 p.m.
Many households across the region continue to face lingering impacts from the August 2025 flood, including persistent mold and moisture issues that can affect home safety and recovery progress. This effort is part of ongoing long-term recovery work to support residents as they continue cleaning, repairing, and restoring their homes.
Supplies will be provided free of charge while available. Residents who experienced water damage during the August 2025 flood and are still dealing with mold are encouraged to attend.
These events are sponsored by the Wisconsin Conference of the United Methodist Church Disaster Project in partnership with Brown Deer United Methodist Church and funded through a grant from UMCOR.
