1. Imani Perry at the American Black Holocaust Museum: Monday, April 6
Award-winning author Imani Perry will present her latest book, “Black in Blues: How a Color Tells the Story of My People,” at the American Black Holocaust Museum, 408 W. North Ave. on Monday, April 6. Doors open at 4:45 p.m. and the event starts at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for the general public and $5 for museum members. Purchase tickets here. 2. MPS Teacher Career Fair: Tuesday, April 7
Find a Milwaukee Public Schools teaching job at the district’s teacher career fair on Tuesday, April 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. at South Division High School, 1515 W. Lapham Blvd. More information here.
3. Youth Appreciation Game and Pizza Night: Tuesday, April 7
As part of Safe & Sound’s Safer Together week, join the organization for games, music and pizza to celebrate the creativity and resilience that youths bring to Milwaukee neighborhoods on Tuesday, April 7 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at 4422 W. Leon Terrace. More information here.
4. Summerfest Hiring Event: Wednesday, April 8
Looking for a summer job? Goodwill Workforce Connection Center is hosting a Summerfest seasonal hiring fair for people ages 16 and up on Wednesday, April 8 from 3 to 6 p.m. at 153 W. Oklahoma Ave. Bring resumes and dress for success. More information here.
5. Milwaukee Art Museum Free Day and Celebration: Thursday, April 9
