Earlier this year brought exciting news: the population of eastern migratory monarchs increased by 64% in their overwintering grounds in Mexico! This encouraging improvement shows that our collective efforts are making a difference, especially planting pollinator plants and milkweed. Yet the threats to monarchs—climate change, insecticides, and habitat loss—remain. That’s why our participation is so important–we are at the helm to bring back our monarchs and pollinators!

Join the Friends of the Monarch Trail at our Annual Native Plant Sale:

  • Dates & Times:
    • Saturday, May 9, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
    • Sunday, May 10, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Location: Greenfield Park Pavilion, 2028 S. 124th St, West Allis, WI 53227

We’ve curated a selection of key native plants, including six types of milkweed, all chemical-free and locally grown, perfect for gardens, patios, schools, parks, or businesses. Specialty planting bags make it easy to create pollinator-friendly habitats in any growing situation.
