1. Books, Bikes & Barbers: Friday, July 17
Combat summer learning loss with an afternoon of fun at Raise the Bar Barbershop & Salon, 9014 W. Burleigh St., on Friday, July 17 from 1 to 5 p.m. Children in attendance will receive free haircuts and books, and some registered children will get bikes. Meet retired NBA players from 2:30 to 3 p.m. More information here.
2. 2026 African Cultural Festival in Milwaukee: Saturday, July 18
Celebrate the rich and diverse culture of Africa with traditional music and dance, art exhibits and more at 7835 N. Green Bay Road on Saturday, July 18 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. More information here.
3. Frida Fest 2026: Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19
Explore an interactive art festival celebrating Frida Kahlo at Farmhouse Paint Bar & Banquet Hall, 4511 S. 6th St., from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 18 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 19. More information here.
4. Mi Gente Latin Beach Festival 2026: Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19
Head to Bradford Beach, 2400 N. Lincoln Memorial Drive, on Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19 from 12 to 8 p.m. for a Latin beach festival with a live DJ, bands and dance. General admission tickets are $40 for one day or $59 for both. This event is for ages 18 and older. Purchase tickets here.
5. Rhythmworks: Ritmo Vivo: Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19
Danceworks is celebrating the people who make Milwaukee’s dance community great, and sharing styles like Cumbia Wepa, Flamenco and Brazilian Zouk at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center, 325 W. Walnut St., on Saturday, July 18 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, July 19 at 3 p.m. More information here.
