1. Bi Movie Night: Friday, Feb. 7

Bi+ Pride Milwaukee invites bisexuals and pansexuals  to watch coming-of-age film “Rebel Without a Cause,” beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7 at the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center, 315 W. Court St. Feel free to bring snacks and beverages. More information here.

2. Kids’ Cooking at The Table: Saturday, Feb. 8

Children can learn how to make healthy vegan snacks from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 5305 W. Capitol Drive. Equipment and ingredients will be provided. More information here.

3. Open Crafting at Havenwoods: Saturday, Feb. 8

Friends of Havenwoods State Forest invites adults to bring a project they are working on and meet other crafters. This open craft session will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 6141 N. Hopkins St. Coffee and tea are provided, but feel free to bring other refreshments. More information here.

4. DIY Bike Bell:  Sunday, Feb. 9

American Science & Surplus invites community members to decorate and paint their bike bell from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 6901 W. Oklahoma Ave. More information here.

5. Women and Girls in Science: Sunday, Feb. 9

Wehr Nature Center is planning an interactive event to celebrate women in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math). Women and girls will get to partake in science activities and meet women who are in this field. It will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9 at the Kosciuszko Community Center, 2201 S. Bonus: Tax assistance in Washington Park: Saturday, Feb. 8

Residents can sign up for a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, or VITA, appointment from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8 at Rooted & Rising – Washington Park, 3940 W.
