1. Free Easter Egg Hunt: Friday, April 11
Join Hmong American Friendship Association Inc. in an Easter egg hunt from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 11 at 3824 W. Vliet St. In addition, participants can participate in rock painting and an art therapy workshop. Easter baskets are provided first come, first served, but it’s recommended to bring your own. 2. 5th Annual Community Resource Fest: Saturday, April 12
Dream Team United WI will be partnering with other local organizations to host a community resource fest from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 12 at 3725 W. Sherman Blvd. There will be free groceries, haircuts, hair braiding, face painting and other activities. More information here.
3. “Knights and Kings” Workshop: Saturday, April 12
Milwaukee Turners and Your Move MKE Inc. are partnering to host a “Knights and Kings” workshop from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 12 at 1107 W. Historic Mitchell St. Boys and men will receive hands-on instruction from experts on tailoring and lessons on how to be a gentleman. After completion, youths will receive a haircut coupon. 4. Minority Health Fair: Saturday, April 12
National Minority Health Awareness Month raises awareness about the health challenges minorities face in various communities. The Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin will host an interactive minority health fair from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 12 at 5370 W. Fond du Lac Ave. There will be a panel discussion, healthy foods, raffles and more. More information here.
5. 414Flea: Sunday, April 13
You can purchase vintage items at vendor tables at the 414Flea from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 13 at 636 S. Sixth St. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. More information here.
