1. Honoring the Fathers: Monday, June 9
To kickoff Father’s Day, Sherman Phoenix Marketplace invites fathers to experience free pampering services, dinner and gifts from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, June 9 at 3536 W. Fond du Lac Ave. Click here to register. More information here.
2. Tech-splanation: Tuesday, June 10
If you’re an older adult who struggles with using technology, you can bring your device to the Milwaukee Public Library Capitol Branch, 3969 N. 74th St., from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10. A librarian will explain how to use it and answer your questions. More information here.
3. Brat with a Cop: Wednesday, June 11
The Milwaukee Police Department and Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office are partnering to host “Brat with a Cop” from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11 at Center Street Park, 6420 W. Clarke St. This community pop-up is free and open to the public. You will enjoy fellowshipping, food and music. More information here.
4. Walking Club: Thursday, June 12
Gerald L. Ignace Indian Health Center Inc. will be leading biweekly walks from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. starting Thursday, June 12 at 3500 W. Forest Home Ave. This walk is meant to improve heart health, lower stress, improve sleep and provide other benefits. All ages are welcome and children must be accompanied by an adult. Before the walk begins, you can visit the Jackson Park Farmers Market from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. More information here.
5. Mobile Food Pantry: Thursday, June 12
Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin will host a mobile food pantry in the Muskego Way neighborhood from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 12 at 1414 S. Comstock Ave. Guests will receive a box filled with meat and produce. More information here.
