1. Silver City Night Market: Friday, July 25
Escuela Verde students and Newline Cafe will host a Silver City Night Market from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 25 between South 35th and West Pierce streets under the viaduct. There will be local vendors, music, food and art activities for everyone. More information here.
2. You’re Welkalm: Saturday, July 26
Jamila Carney of Agape Yogastry and Patrice Green of Kalm Wellness Services are collaborating to lead a wellness dialogue from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 26 at Rise & Grind Cafe, 2737 N. Martin Luther King Drive. You will learn how wellness can improve the quality of your life. There will be food you can purchase and an entrepreneur market. More information here.
3. Community Listening Session: Saturday, July 26
The City of Milwaukee Election Commission encourages voters to attend a listening session, where they can share thoughts and ideas on what can be improved to ensure elections are secure, fair, accessible and more. The session is from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 26 at St. Matthew Christian Methodist Church, 2944 N. Ninth St. Click here to register. More information here.
4. Grocery Run: Saturday, July 26
To celebrate the third anniversary of the Sherman Park Grocery Store, community members are invited to participate in a run to discuss the connection between community safety and food security. The event will be from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 26 at 4315 W. Fond du Lac Ave. All participants must complete a waiver. More information here.
5. Touch-a-Truck: Saturday, July 26
Milwaukee ER & Hospital invites the community to experience a day filled with trucks, bounce houses, raffles and food. Children will have the opportunity to explore fire trucks, police cars, ambulances and meet local first responders from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 26 at 1751 W.
