1. Crime and Safety Meeting: Monday, Sept. 15
Milwaukee Police Department District 7 will host a meeting from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 15 at Wellpoint Care Network, 8901 W. Capitol Drive. You can listen to crime updates for the neighborhood and ask questions. More information here.
2. Tea and Tales: Monday, Sept. 15
Children are invited to a tea party featuring stories told from around the world. The tea party will be from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 15 at the Milwaukee Public Library Mitchell Street Branch, 906 W. Historic Mitchell St. Children will get to learn about new cultures, taste teas and play with each other, too. More information here.
3. Small Business and Financial Emergencies: Wednesday, Sept. 17
The Sherman Phoenix Women and Mom’s Entrepreneurship Network and PNC Bank have partnered to host a workshop for small-business owners to prepare them for financial emergencies. Participants will learn how to identify risks, create contingency plans and more. The workshop will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 3536 W. 4. Youth Prevention Summit: Thursday, Sept. 18
Safe & Sound will host its 2025 youth prevention summit pep rally from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18 at 4422 W. Leon Terrace. The evening will feature a video premiere, giveaways, food and more. Youths are encouraged to show their school pride and rep what they know. More information here.
5. Renters Rights Legal Clinic: Thursday, Sept. 18
Staff attorneys from Legal Action of Wisconsin are offering a free clinic to help Milwaukee residents understand their rights as renters. The clinic will have free legal advice on evictions, termination notices and other legal issues from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18 at the Oasis Senior Center, 1667 S. 24th St. Walk-ins are welcome and it’s first come, first served.
