1. Crime and Safety Meeting: Tuesday, Sept. 30
Milwaukee Police Department District 4 will host a meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 30 at the Milwaukee Police Academy, 6680 N. Teutonia Ave. You can listen to crime updates for the neighborhood and ask questions. Guest speaker John Busch from the Department of Homeland Security will discuss active shooter situations. 2. Bilingual Storytime: Wednesday, Oct. 1
Rescued Roasters and Bilingual Storytime MKE are collaborating to host interactive bilingual stories read to children in English and Spanish from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 4435 W. 3. Community Engagement Meeting: Wednesday, Oct. 1
Milwaukee Police Department District 3 is hosting a community engagement meeting to discuss crime and safety, community organizing, block watches and nuisance properties. The meeting will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at Greater Life Community Center, 2432 N. Teutonia Ave. More information here.
4. Stepping On Workshop: Thursday, Oct. 2
Stepping On is a seven-week workshop sponsored by Advocate Aurora Health that teaches individuals how to prevent falling. The workshop will be from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. every Thursday beginning Oct. 2 and will run through Nov. 13 at Aurora Sinai Medical Center, 945 N. 12th St., in the Garden Room on the first floor. 5. National Hispanic Heritage: Thursday, Oct. 2
