1. Creative Commons Ribbon Cutting: Tuesday, Oct. 7

The Creative Commons is a new space that will feature art from local artists, Arts @ Large summer camp youths and UCC Acosta Middle School students. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 1100 S. Fifth St. Guests will have the opportunity to sip cider and paint pumpkins while enjoying the art. 2. Early Morning Bird Walk: Tuesday, Oct. 7

The Menomonee Valley Branch of the Urban Ecology Center invites you to an early morning bird walk from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 3700 W. Pierce St. You will get to watch birds while exploring the park. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required. More information here.

3. 11th District Annual Town Hall: Tuesday, Oct. 7

Join Ald. Peter Burgelis and budget director Nik Kovac to discuss your priorities and concerns in Milwaukee from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at Hamilton High School, 6215 W. Warnimont Ave. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and there will be city resources available. More information here.

4. Drug Take Back: Wednesday, Oct. 8

Milwaukee Police Department District 5 encourages you to bring your unused, unwanted or expired medication for safe disposal from noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 1901 N. Sixth St. Liquids and syringes will not be accepted. More information here.

5. AI for Small Business: Thursday, Oct. 9

Natasha Broxton, CEO of Select Auto Parts & Sales, will lead a workshop teaching entrepreneurs how to use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to reduce stress, free up time and operate without hiring a big team. The workshop is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9 at BizStarts Community Market, 161 S. First St. More information here.
