October 20th, 2025 marks the official launch of the website of the Trillium Foundation at https://trillium.foundation/. This newly established charitable foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and communities in Wisconsin.
The trillium is a native Wisconsin wildflower which grows slowly and thrives through the work of ants, which help spread its seeds, and through underground rootstocks that enable it to survive harsh conditions. Taking inspiration from its namesake, the Trillium Foundation seeks to create positive change and lasting opportunities for individuals and communities in Wisconsin by working collaboratively with others and helping to establish strong networks of support.
Trillium Foundation Board Chair Tom Orendorff said, “The Foundation would like to provide additional resources to organizations that help individuals, to stabilize and improve their lives and to give them the helping hand they need.”
“We are excited to launch the Trillium Foundation to help empower individuals and communities.” said Maria Ledger, CEO. “Our mission is rooted in the belief that positive change begins with collective effort, and together, we can create a future filled with opportunity and hope for those who need it the most.”
Non-Profit Organizations interested in pursuing funding opportunities are encouraged to go to trillium.foundation/grants and submit an online Letter of Intent (LOI). LOIs for this cycle of funding will be accepted for review until November 14th, 2025.
