1. Cowork with Creators: Friday, Nov. 7
HashtagMKE invites creators and social media enthusiasts to a networking event that will give you the opportunity to meet like-minded individuals in Milwaukee. The event is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7 at BizStarts Community Market, 161 S. First St. Registration is required. More information here.
2. Civic Buzz: Saturday, Nov. 8
One MKE coalition and other groups are hosting “Civic Buzz: Traffic Safety,” a session that focuses on making Milwaukee’s streets safer. The event will highlight local efforts being made to reduce accidents and create walkable neighborhoods through the City of Milwaukee’s Vision Zero Initiative. The session will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 710 W. Historic Mitchell St. Attendees will receive a free hands-free phone holder. More information here.
3. Community Thanksgiving Lunch: Saturday, Nov. 8
You are welcome to attend a community Thanksgiving lunch hosted by Milwaukee Police Department District 6 and Live Laugh Loaves MKE at noon on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 5335 W. Oklahoma Ave. Click here to register. More information here.
4. Caring for the Caregiver: Saturday, Nov. 8
The Alzheimer’s Association Wisconsin Chapter invites caregivers to a day of free relaxation from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8 at the Institute for the Preservation of African American Music and Arts, 3200 W. Hampton Ave. Massages, chair yoga, a vision board session and other activities will be offered. Gov. Tony Evers will speak on what Wisconsin is doing for caregivers. RSVP is required. 5. Kids MusicFest: Sunday, Nov. 9
Civic Music MKE will be hosting a kids music fest from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9 at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center, 325 W. Walnut St. Children will discover local music organizations, enjoy workshops and watch live performances. More information here.
